Widely regarded as the jewel in Disney’s animated crown, 1994’s The Lion King is the latest film to be remade while Disney suffer a creative dry patch. Swapping colourful animation for characterless photo-realism, it also sacrifices all charm and emotion. What remains, while visually stunning, is a cold and soulless film.

Unfortunately, his latest film continuing the Predator franchise is a break from his pretty consistent track record, and one that features a dull story, ropey CGI and offensive stereotypes.
I have resisted this post for a while now. I try and keep my film blog lighthearted and entertaining, but I think it’s finally time for my first rant (after my mini moans about ‘Beauty and The Beast’, this one has been a long time coming!) Disney are currently in a habit of rebooting all … Continue reading STOP RUINING MY CHILDHOOD! (A Mini Rant about Disney Remakes)
